The service that South Africa Lodge provides is based on a detailed assessment of needs and agreed person centred care plans and risk assessments which affords us the ability to facilitate good outcomes for both long term and short term placements. We work with our residents and their families or advocates to ensure that all care plans are truly person centred and reflective of the needs of the individual.
The quality of care offered is strongly linked to the quality and expertise of the staff team and we have a team of highly experienced staff available to work with each individual to achieve their personal goals. The team includes Specialist Nurses, Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants and Activity Coordinators. Additionally South Africa Lodge receives regular support from local GPs, Community Psychiatrist nurses, palliative care nurses, community dentists, opticians and chiropodists.
