Kitnocks House
Kitnocks House Specialist Nursing Home provides specialist mental health care and support for up to 63 adult male and female residents with a diagnosis of mental illness ranging from depression, anxiety and psychological disorders to psychotic conditions including Huntington's Condition, Dementia, Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome (alcohol induced disorders), and those who may additionally have some degree of physical disability.
We also provide a specialist service for up to 4 older people who challenge services and prepare them to move into the main house to continue their care and support.
We offer comprehensive and individual care packages. Placements are focused on the needs of the residents, which are determined by pre-admission and risk assessments. This affords us the opportunity to facilitate good outcomes for both long and short term placements. Residents' needs are at the forefront of everything we do at Kitnocks House as our person centred approach means we strive to ensure that every resident is given opportunities to lead as full and productive life as they are able.
We have a team of experienced staff available to work with each individual to achieve their personal goals - these include Psychiatrists, Specialist Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants, the services of the local GP, and visiting dentist, dietician, chiropodist and optician.
