The ethos of Chessel Avenue is to ensure people who challenge services are actively involved in their care. We will develop a bespoke care package that will meet their needs and also their personal preferences, to ensure people are able to fulfil their maximum potential.
Risk Management
A vital part of the care we provide at Chessel Avenue is with regard to creative and positive risk management. We are able to provide this through a very experienced staff team, high staffing levels, robust documentation and working effectively with community teams.
The high staffing levels also create flexibility to enable people to pursue their own interests by ensuring that one to one support can be offered particularly whilst accessing the community, if this is appropriate.
The Team
- Trained staff consisting of RNLD, RMN and RGNs
- Experienced support workers, currently completing Diploma Level 3
- Psychologist
- Physical Intervention Instructor
- Physiotherapist
- Occupational Therapist
All staff receives mandatory training on a yearly basis, plus having lead nurses who specialise in DOLS, MCA, Safeguarding, Continence and Epilepsy ensuring that the service provided meets all needs and legal requirements.
